This Privacy Policy explains how Jeje Labs (the “Service Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the Mirror · Mirror mobile application (the “Application”). The Application is an ad-supported service with optional in-app purchases. No account or login is required.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Face Data” means:
The Application does not collect or create Face ID information, TrueDepth or depth data, a three-dimensional face mesh, facial landmarks, facial embeddings or biometric templates, or information used to identify or authenticate a person. The Application does not perform facial recognition or automatically infer a person’s identity, age, gender, race, health condition, or other sensitive characteristics.
Face Data is processed only to:
Face Data is not used for advertising, analytics, tracking, profiling, identity verification, authentication, or training machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models.
All automatic Face Data processing takes place locally on the user’s device using Apple’s on-device Vision framework.
Live camera frames, face bounding rectangles, orientation results, and alignment states are held only temporarily in memory for the active rendering or detection operation. They are not persistently stored and are discarded after processing or when the camera session ends.
A face photograph is stored only when the user voluntarily captures or saves it. Saved photographs are stored in the Application’s private local application container. Associated diary information is stored in the Application’s local database. If the user enables or uses the Application’s widget, a downscaled thumbnail may also be stored in the shared local App Group container accessible only to the Application and its bundled widget extension.
The Application does not upload Face Data to a server operated by the Service Provider and does not use CloudKit or another developer-operated cloud service to synchronize Face Data.
Depending on the user’s iOS backup settings, the operating system may include local application data in an iCloud or computer backup. These backups are controlled by the user and Apple, and the Service Provider cannot access them.
The Application does not automatically transmit, sell, disclose, or share Face Data with the Service Provider or any third party. In particular, Face Data is not provided to Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Messaging, AdMob, Meta Audience Network, or any other analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, messaging, or third-party SDK.
Face Data leaves the Application only when the user explicitly chooses to export a photograph to Apple Photos or share it using the iOS share sheet. The user selects and controls the destination. Copies saved to Apple Photos or sent to another application or service are governed by the user’s settings and the destination’s privacy practices.
If the user does not capture or save a photograph, the Application does not retain Face Data after the live processing operation ends.
Saved face photographs and associated diary information are retained locally until the user deletes the applicable diary entry or uninstalls the Application. The Application does not apply a server-side Face Data retention period because the Service Provider never receives this Face Data.
The user can delete a saved record from the Diary by opening the record and selecting Delete, or can delete multiple records from the Gallery using Select and Delete. Deleting a record deletes the locally stored original photograph and associated diary information. Replacing a photograph deletes the replaced local original after the new photograph has been saved successfully.
To support calendar and weekly widgets, the local widget cache may retain a downscaled thumbnail for the current and immediately preceding calendar month. When newer monthly widget data is next published, thumbnails older than that range are deleted. If the Application is not reopened or the widget cache is not refreshed, a cached thumbnail remains only on the device until the Application is uninstalled.
Uninstalling the Application removes Face Data from the Application’s local containers. Copies previously exported to Apple Photos, shared with another destination, or retained in an operating-system backup must be deleted by the user from that destination or backup.
Because the Service Provider does not receive or have access to Face Data, it cannot retrieve or remotely delete Face Data on the user’s behalf. Users may contact [email protected] for assistance with local deletion steps.
The Application does not use generative AI or any third-party AI service to process Face Data. It uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework solely to detect a face bounding rectangle and image orientation for alignment and display purposes. Camera images and resulting detection data are not sent to Apple, the Service Provider, or a third-party AI service and are not used to train any model.

If the user enables place-based reminders, the Application may request precise and background location permission. Location is used to save a user-selected place, monitor entry, exit, or dwell events, and generate a local reminder to check the mirror. Saved coordinates and reminder settings are stored locally on the device and are not sent to the Service Provider, Firebase, or advertising providers.
When the user searches for a place or converts a coordinate into a place name, Apple’s system location and map services may process the search query or coordinate under Apple’s privacy practices. The Application logs only non-location events such as whether permission was granted and the number of saved places; it does not include coordinates or place names in analytics events.
Saved places are retained until the user deletes them in Settings or uninstalls the Application. The user may change location permission at any time in iOS Settings. Disabling permission stops future location monitoring but does not automatically delete a previously saved place; the user may delete it in the Application.

Captured photos, diary entries, app preferences, locally scheduled reminders, and widget summaries are stored locally. The Application accesses the camera only with permission. A photo is added to Apple Photos only when the user explicitly requests it and grants the required permission.
If push notifications are enabled, Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging may process a device/app installation identifier and topic subscription information to deliver notifications. Notification permission can be changed in iOS Settings.

The release version of the Application uses analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, messaging, and advertising services. Depending on device settings, consent choices, and the service, these providers may process app interaction events, app version, device model, operating system, language/region, IP address and IP-derived approximate region, Firebase installation identifiers, advertising identifiers, ad interaction data, and crash or performance diagnostics.
The Application is designed not to include Face Data, saved photographs, diary notes, saved coordinates, or place names in analytics, advertising, messaging, or crash-reporting events.
The Service Provider uses this information to understand feature usage, maintain reliability, deliver configuration and notifications, prevent fraud, measure advertising, and display ads.

The Application may display ads through Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network mediation. Personalized advertising and access to the iOS advertising identifier are used only as permitted by the user’s App Tracking Transparency choice and any consent choices presented in the Application. If permission is denied, the Application may still display contextual or non-personalized ads and providers may process limited device and network information for delivery, security, and measurement.
Face Data, saved photos, diary content, and saved precise location are not provided to advertising providers. Tracking permission can be changed in iOS Settings.

Monthly and yearly subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. The Service Provider receives product and transaction/entitlement information needed to unlock features and restore purchases, but does not receive the user’s full payment-card information. Apple handles payment information under Apple’s privacy policy.
